DISHWASHER PROBLEMS

CONSTANT/LOUD NOISES

We are trained in identifying and repairing dishwasher issues that can cause irregular noises to come out of the appliance. The reason for the sounds is usually a broken washer arm bearing, pump housing or motor bushing. Because these are all common malfunctions, customers can be sure we will be able to fix them right away!

WATER LEAKING

There are usually one of two reasons a dishwasher leaks water. The first reason is that there is a problem with the door closure or latch and it will need a replacement. The second cause is a failed water inlet valve that should be fixed soon after our arrival to your house. We have the manufacturer parts to fix GE, Whirlpool, LG and common brands of dishwashers.

WON’T TURN ON

In the event a dishwasher doesn’t turn on, you should ensure the dishwasher is plugged in and that none of the circuit breakers in the kitchen tripped. If this isn’t the issue, then the issue might be coming from the door closure switches, thermal fuses, electronic controls or motor relays.

DOESN’T DRAIN/FILL

Your dishwasher should fill with water and then drain water after the dishes are clean. A dishwasher doesn’t fill if there’s a broken door switch or float switch or a broken water inlet valve. Your dishwasher won’t drain when there’s a malfunctioning drain hose or pump motor on the unit.

WON’T CLEAN DISHES

A dishwasher is not much use if the dishes are dirty after a cycle. The dishes will sometimes be dirty when there is a broken housing gasket, water tube or filter or spray arm. We have manufacturer parts available to fix these common dishwasher problems right away.

WON’T DRY DISHES

The reasons to own a dishwasher is for the appliance to wash and dry dishes. You do not want to hand dry dishes and silverware after a cycle. Your dishwasher doesn’t dry if there’s a broken rinse aid dispenser, heating element or thermostat. We are able to repair or replace manufacturer parts that perform the drying functions of all brands and types of dishwashers.

DOESN’T DISPENSE SOAP

For a dishwasher to wash dishes, it needs to be able to dispense detergent or soap inside of the appliance. This cannot happen when there’s a broken bi-metal release, timer or wax motor.
